Please stand by

We're still looking for good internet service. Kind of an oxymoron when you live in the country. But we have something to check into at least.

Baba leaves tomorrow and then, hopefully, I can find some kind of routine with the kids. We're going to adopt a couple of puppies from the Humane Society and the kids are excited about that. We have new chicks to care for and chores to do that will help to keep them occupied. I plan a few more activities with the kids and am looking for free/cheap things to do with them. I know they're out there somewhere. LOL

Hopefully one of these posts will be from home and not the library. I love the library but this isn't my idea of a library visit.

We're home...again

We just got back around 3 a.m. from our trip to Disney World. My little Diva is a roller coaster queen! In the middle of her 2nd ride on Mt. Everest she was screaming that she wanted to go again. I was not there to witness that...she was with Baba. One trip on that baby was enough for me. Besides I needed hot coffee after two back-to-back trips on the Kali River. I was beyond drenched and it was cloudy and rainy...not hot where that drenched feeling would be a good thing.

It was the Boss's birthday and he got a badge. EVERYONE was wishing him Happy Birthday. At first it embarassed the guy but after a while it was fun...especially if he got a cupcake at the restaurant. LOL

We had the dinner plan and while the food and service are WONDERFUL it was way too much. I've gained 3 pounds! But, if I have to gain it, what a way to do it!

Quick check-in

Just wanted to say we're still here and still no internet at the farm yet. The horses are doing much better and the kids have enjoyed riding 2 of them. Dan still has to take it easy for another week or so. The Diva was riding the other gelding the other day. He thought he could take advantage of her and headed onto the road.

She did and he did what he was told. Then he started running toward the barn.

"Pull back on the reins!"

She did and got him stopped. She's decided she wants to ride his mommy next. He's too fast.

Offline and not minding so much

We still don't have internet at the farm yet and it's not as annoying as it was in Lebanon. Probably because I'm so busy cleaning mouse poop out of my kitchen (still have to get under the sink but got the cookware and plastic storage thingies cleaned though) and living room.

Baba arrived on Wednesday and he's had the kids working in the barn with him. We got a bit sidetracked on Friday when he got up early and found Amir with cut-up legs from some wire (we combed the place that afternoon and never found where he got it) and Dan with a bad limp. He wouldn't even follow me for food. So the vet came out to see them and all 3 horses got updated on their vaccines.

The kittens are real little barn cats now. Growing like little weeds. We had a great 4th at our neighbors'...actually had it on the 10th, but anyway it was a blast.

Need to head home soon so I'll try to get on before we leave for Disney.

We're here!

We arrived Wednesday evening. The kids (all five of them) are having a blast. The cousins may never want to go home.

A neighbor brought over a couple of kittens yesterday evenings so we have a couple of barn cats now. The kids are having a blast playing with them. They're adorable.

I'm only online at the library now so posts will be few and far between (in other words, pretty much like normal-LOL) and I don't have the distraction from getting the house put back together...which unfortunately includes cleaning up after the mice who moved in after the cat moved out. I'm really hoping Baba isn't allergic to one (or better yet, both) of the new kittens.
