Yes, I'm still here!

Life has been so busy. I never thought I could be so exhausted or achy and live. We opened our food truck a year ago May. It took off like a rocket. Twenty people lined up 10 minutes before opening our first day. Six months ago we opened our brick and mortar restaurant and again we're off like you wouldn't believe. We're open 5 days a week but are here every day since there's always so much prep to do.

We've met so many wonderful people and many who are, shall we say, interesting in their own way. I even got to meet one of my online friends who stopped by the food truck last summer on her way with the kids to their new home. There are others who are in almost everyday (some every day) that I'm crazy about and look forward to knowing for many years to come. We've also reconnected with old friends.

I don't knit nearly as much as I want, or read, etc. but I'm making the effort to drag the kids and myself out of bed on Sunday for church. Now I'm in the restaurant making one of our desserts for the week. Baba took the Peanuts for a bike ride and the Boss is at the home of former employees we've stayed friends with. A neat young couple who have gone on to different jobs but still like our place for date night. Whoohoo!

I now have a smart phone so I'm able to be online more than when we first opened so maybe I'll post here more. I haven't forgotten all the neat people I've encountered over the years in "blogland" and can't wait to catch up...or at least attempt to.

Tonight, after the last batch comes out of the oven and I do the dishes (luckily Baba did most of them so there's not much left to do) I'll pick up the Boss and head home to shower, put on my jammies, and pick up my knitting. If Baba thinks I'm doing anything else he's in for a surprise.
