Ramadan is almost over. Finally. In a few days we can eat out during the day, eat and drink in public, chew gum in public, without being arrested for offending someone who's fasting. A mentioned the other day she's been in the mood for KFC so I think we'll head there Friday after church.
This weekend has been anything but relaxing. Since there's not much to do during the day during Ramadan it's pointless to get out with the kids so we're hanging out at home. Relaxing as it sounds it has its drawbacks. For example:
The Little Prince wanted to practice cutting paper. He was specifically told to cut only paper. I ended up making an emergency trip to the salon with the Diva because he decided he wanted her hair small. {sigh}
Today the Diva pitched an unholy fit because she didn't get to come downstairs when I called the Boss to come downstairs and help unload groceries.
The Boss has homework. We're trying to get him to get it done so we can have the chance to do something fun during this break. He's been dragging it out, finding every excuse under the sun, and has gotten on my last nerve.
I'm almost looking forward to school next week. But not quite. Calgon, take me away!
