Today is St. Barbara's Day. It's celebrated here instead of Halloween. Kids dress up and go from door to door, singing a song and getting either candy or money. The Boss took the Peanuts around our building and the building across the street. They got some candy and some money. They wanted to go to the square and buy some candy but we're on generator so no street lights so NO WAY!
It's fun to watch the reactions of the kids who come here. Elektra hears them coming and starts barking like crazy. By the time I open the door they're up on the landing. The last one was almost back up to the ground floor and wouldn't come back down even when we said it was OK.
The kids still want supper though...the sugar hasn't gotten to them yet. I'm going to take advantage and put them to bed. Getting them to sleep might be an entirely different matter.
