With our new family member being a rather powerful breed of dog, I didn't want to rely on my old way of dealing dogs. He's not a pushover, physically, even if he is a big softie. Therefore I decided to read and watch anything from this guy. I'm loving his DVDs and books. I bought his first book and have others and the DVDs from the library.
He relies a lot on evolution but if I mentally leave out the references to that as I read, it's still just as good. His way of dealing with dogs is excellent and so common sense. Figures that I'm hunkered down in the house when I'm just learning how to handle the *twins* outside. (The dogs, not the Peanuts. Although I'm sure some of his ways of dealing with the dogs could apply to them as well. LOL)
I don't have many worries with Ace and his behavior. When the weather is better I plan on walking him a lot. I'm going to call him my exercise machine. I'm more interested in getting this to work with Rex and Fly. These two think just having a leash attached to them is torture, at least based upon the sounds they make. Wonder if I'll be able to take my pack on a walk anytime soon?

I seen a show awhile back about him, beside the evolution thing...it does seem he has some common sense tips and is quite good.
