No tolerance for intolerance

We've had some snow days here. I've done a good job of staying off the computer. But I had to post something here and begin to work through what I want to say and how I want to say it. I'll start by sharing a link and see where any comments/discussions go. Assuming that very many are still reading this. LOL

Egyptian Cleric Encourages the Proper Way to Fight/Die

Do not believe for one minute that this man is an anomaly. Islam teaches the following: a) lying to a kaffir (non-believer) is good, b) killing a kaffir is good, c) breaking a contract or treaty with a kaffir is good, d) enslaving a kaffir or his family is good.

Engaging in war is worship. Dying in a fight with a non-believer is good. The world is divided into two parts, Dar el Salaam or world of peace under Islamic rule, and the Dar el Harb or world of war not under Islamic rule. The goal of all Muslims is Dar el Salaam and anything goes in the fight to bring it about.

There are Muslims out there who do believe in true tolerance and peace. They do not want war with unbelievers and they would not lie to an unbeliever or kill him, etc. However, they are the exception, not the rule, and they are not viewed as good Muslims by the rest of the Islamic world. I truly feel sorry for them as they try to walk that fine line. I have good friends overseas who are Muslim. I miss them very much. They were truly tolerant in their way of dealing with people from different religions and cultures.

I'm reading some good books now. The current one is "Because They Hate" by Brigitte Gabriel, who grew up in southern Lebanon during the civil war in a town not far from where my MIL grew up. Her experiences at the hands of PLO, Syrian puppets, and others were horrific. She remembers a time where whether you were Christian or Muslim you were Lebanese first. But now you're defined as Muslim first and foremost. The attempted extermination of Christians by the Muslim fighters was as high a priority as trying to exterminate Israel. In fact cannons were set up near Christian towns so they would be the targets of Israeli retaliation.

I also have some books by Robert Spencer from the library awaiting my time.

I have other sites I want to research as well, with things written by Muslims. I don't believe you can have a fair view of another religion without getting info straight from the horse's mouth.

If anyone has other sources to check out, please share them in the comments.
