Tonight the Diva went to have her ear cleaned again. She had the stitches taken out Saturday afternoon but the doctor wasn't able to be there so a nurse in the ER did it. Tonight we went to see the doctor and he's very happy about how her ear is healing. She needs to go back next week too, but that should be the last time.
The eardrum is good and the canal is healing nicely. He removed a clot, rather than a truckload like last time.
The Diva refused for several minutes to lie down and let him do it. Last time she was very cooperative but when it started hurting she did NOT like it. She remembered that tonight and did not want to cooperate again. I bribed her...I admit it. I told her I'd give her 1000 (Lebanese pounds...about 67 cents). Then I offered her 2000. Then I told her I'd take her to the canteen and get her anything she wanted. That didn't even do the trick.
I honestly don't remember what finally did it. But she agreed to lie down and let him do his thing. Then, after it was done, she said, "My 1000." At least she didn't remember the "anything you want" part.
I have to mention the elevators at this hospital. I've never seen anywhere else a set of two elevators with one labeled "visitors" and the other labeled "sick". Very cool.
But, I have to wonder though...if I'm a patient whose broken her leg, do I have to take the stairs?

LOL yes, you'd have to take the stairs. AND you'd have to walk up them backwards ;o)
Poor Diva :o( How horrible for her.
Glad to hear the Little Diva is on the mend. She has been very couragous!
