One of the cousins who'll be traveling with us to the States this summer has a birthday next month. I showed this pattern to her mom and asked if she'd like it. I bought the yarn yesterday and started last night. I've made one before, for my assistant last year in q8. It's a darling shawl and very versatile. It will be good in the summer when she wants to wear something sleeveless to church (I don't think it has a/c-which wouldn't be working anyway if they were on generator) and needs to cover up a bit inside.
Today was another warm one. We all wore t-shirts and I dug out my sandals. Even after it clouded up and started getting dark it was still warm. I'm not even thinking of switching out the closets yet, but I'm certainly glad that the kids' summer clothes are handy in the boufs in the living room. They're these really cute little round leather bags that you stuff full of old shoes, clothes, whatever, and voila! You have little footstools to sit around on. Very handy. My summer clothes, unfortunately, are in suitcases in the attic. Not so handy.
Tomorrow the kids are back at school and I get to catch up on what didn't get done today. Maybe I'll even get time for some devotions. I'll definitely be listening to TGW or IE while I work on the shawl.
