Oops! Did it again

I've been bad about blogging. Last week was full and there was little time to be online. Monday went OK, but the Boss was home again on Tuesday and then Baba arrived that night and we had birthday festivities. Thursday evening was the family party for the Peanuts at McD's, Friday was the school party (actually two- one each), followed by a birthday party for relatives (that's a post in its own right), and then getting Baba back to q8 on Saturday.

It looks like the Boss has Irritable Bowel. We're still going to keep an eye on things and run more tests if necessary, but it looks like that's it. So we're watching what he eats and noting if it affects his stomach, and he's taking some medicine for it, which should help as well.

Baba installed a little box in my kitchen that lights up. For those who remember the hassles we've had with water here, you'll understand my excitement. The little box that lights up has a button I push and it tells me how much water is in my tank. The boys are very happy that they don't have to go upstairs and climb into the crawl space just below the roof and look in the tank. Actually just the Boss does that. The Little Prince is there to hold the ladder.

Tomorrow is no school. So I get the kids home with no illness involved. Whoohoo! I'm thinking about taking them to the movies but it's my day to zone clean. If I can get them to leave me alone for the morning and do that cleaning, then we should be able to do a movie guilt-free.

Except...it's beautiful today! The temp is in the 70s! Whoohoo! If it's this nice tomorrow I'm not sure that a movie theater is where I want to spend the afternoon. But I don't know if the park in Bikfaya will be open or not. So I guess we can drive over there and see. If not, then maybe we can go to the club where the Boss does taekwondo and hang out there. Air up the tires, load the bikes in the car, see if we can fit a German Shepherd in too. But I should probably check with the folks there though. If our garden were done we could enjoy it, but it'll be another month before the guy comes to seed the garden and plant some shrubs and flowers for us. Whoohoo!

Oh, and I have a grape vine! Baba bought 3 to take back to q8 with him but only 2 could be squeezed into the suitcase. (Yes, you read that right. But he had to fit in 10 manakish as well, and souvenirs for the guys at the office, so he ran out of room.) So, I have a grape vine. Need to go Google grape vines so I don't kill it by under or over watering.

Spring is on its way!

Hope your grapes grow! Back following -- when I changed the name, I had to stop following everybody and then start again!
