Update

I don't remember just what exactly I've shared here and I'm too lazy to go back and look so I'm going probably repeat a bit of what you already know.

The Boss has suffered with abdominal pain since the beginning of February. When he says that his stomach is OK, it doesn't mean it doesn't hurt, just that it isn't bad and isn't really bothering him. But he has horrible pain about once a week or so and has had to miss a few days of school with it.

When it first hit, the doctor ordered urine and stool samples to be taken and tested. They came back negative. Then, last week, after some more severe pain, he ordered an ultrasound. This also came back negative. Thursday he woke up with more severe pain and the doctor referred us to a specialist. Last week the doctor said he believed it was IBS and last night the specialist confirmed it, after ordering an x-ray.

The doctor we saw last night is very good and the Boss liked him a lot. He gave us specific directions on diet and changed his medication a bit. He's taking a milder laxative now. The last one was too strong. This is a powder that you drink with water or juice. We go to see him next week for a follow-up.

The weather here is still beautiful. I walked the last two days and tonight while the Boss does taekwondo I'll probably walk too. The Peanuts will enjoy being outside for a change instead of being quiet inside. They can run around to their little hearts' delight. I'd love to take the dog with us, but I just got the car washed yesterday and don't want the hair in it before church tomorrow. Plus, she'd scare the living daylights out of the people there. Lebanese are notorious for an irrational fear of dogs. Not just the good common sense of being cautious around strange dogs. But absolute fear of them. If someone's been bitten by a dog it makes sense. But most have never been around dogs and are just afraid of them like I'm afraid of spiders. (At least my fear is semi-rational since there are poisonous spiders, but poisonous dogs?!)

Anyway, tonight should be good. Then we'll come home, have grilled cheese sandwiches, take our showers, and get ready for church tomorrow. Then the Boss and I will probably watch a movie after the Peanuts are in bed. I love the weekend.
