We had a blast!

We had a great time at the Scientific Center yesterday. It was a bit hurried but the girls had fun. First we watched "Dinosaurs" at IMAX and then we wandered around the aquarium. We didn't do the other exhibits they have there but the girls were excited about what we did do. They have otters, crocodiles, snakes, scorpions, an owl, fish galore, and, of course, sharks!

For 3 days in a row I've had meetings after school...no, make that 4. Sunday is always team meeting for our grade level, Mon-Wed is for working on curriculum except I had ERT committee on Monday so I was there. We're responsible for planning emergency responses and where and how to evacuate...indoors and outdoors. I'm enjoying this committee. Unlike the committees that plan activities for a holiday or other special day and then they're done, this one is all year. But I don't mind it, it's fun.

It's warming up a bit here. I'm not as cold as I was before. It's still cold in the mornings but the days are warmer. It was raining when I got up this morning and cloudy until about time to leave school, but not bad at all. I hope it's nice for DH and I to do stuff after he's home.

When we chatting earlier in the week he said our mare lost her baby. It was a pretty little filly. She's had 2 healthy ones before so we're not particularly concerned, just very disappointed. She's such a good mommy. The first colt died before he was a year...colic. The second colt is giving DH the time of his life since our neighbors trained him since the kids and I went home this summer. DH is just crazy about him. He's finally able to get the pics of him he was wanting. My dad had trouble getting Amir's face out of the camera when he'd try to get a pic from inside the pasture. He always had to have the fence in the picture due to having to be outside to take it.

Tomorrow is Snow Day at school. The playgrounds are being decorated with snowmen and other things wintry and they're bringing in machines to make snow...either that or shredding a ton of styrofoam. Either way the kids are excited. Tomorrow's also the last day of school before the Ministry's winter break. We're off for 2 weeks. The poor Boss has school though. His doesn't follow the Ministry calendar like mine does. With a field trip this week and progress reports I really need it. Even though I just came back from 2 1/2 weeks off 3 weeks ago. LOL
