Wow! I'm posting 2 days in a row. How about that? I'm back at school for a full week. Thursday is Sport's Day and we're done at 1 p.m. so I'm not sure if it really counts as full, but darn well close enough. LOL It's the twins' 4th birthday so I'll get home in time to bake them a cake. But I don't know where the sports club is that we're using so my luck it'll be a long way out.
As you may have noticed on my reading list (if you ever bother to scroll down that far) I've deleted "Reliving the Passion" by Wangerin. The Boss and I just got too far behind. Between his homework and then the extra work that I've been doing lately, we just kept forgetting or being too busy or something. It's still out and if we have the chance we'll catch up, but I doubt it. Maybe next year will work out better...except he'll be in Year 6 and busier than ever, I'm sure.
But you'll notice that I'm in Jeremiah now so I'm making progress somewhere! I'm also keeping at John MacArthur's recommendation of reading a book everyday for a month, alternating between long books and short books since the long books have to be broken up over a few months. I got off track last week when I should have been starting in on chapter 8 in the Gospel of John. But I started this weekend and it's such a beautiful piece of Scripture. I liked chapters 1-7 but starting with 8 it gets really good. It's hard to imagine the amount of shame the woman must have felt at being dragged naked to the temple. A full temple at that from the sound of it.
At the morning assembly I remembered that I was going to work on memorizing the Nicene Creed to recite to myself while they're having the recitation of the Koran. They last longer than the Apostle's Creed does. I'll have to get busy on that. Maybe now while the school doctor is here talking to the girls about healthy habits for Health Week I can work on my spiritual health. ;)
